  2. Drink water with your meal instead of soda or sugary drink
  3. Add lemon and/or a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to your water
  4. Have a white starch only 2 times a week
  5. Stay away from pork
  6. Read the ingredients on the foods you buy and research them right then and there on your phone
  7. If sugar is the first, second or third ingredient, put it back on the shelf
  8. Eat fresh foods, not frozen or packaged when possible
